Going Green With Son De Flor

Son De Flor Linen Dress

Green is definitely having a bit more than a moment this year.

I’ve been loving seeing all the different ways people have been incorporating this “it” color into their wardrobes.

I nearly screamed when I first saw this dress from Son De Flor (which was generously gifted). I love their classic designs and at first was considering something more neutral, but I later decided that I wanted a stand-out keepsake piece to cherish forever. My husband told me I looked like a Disney princess, which I decided to take as a compliment…

What drew me to this piece was the embroidered collar.

I’ve never seen anything like it!!! It’s not offered on all of their styles, so the color options were limited. However, I’m glad this was the case, because I’m not sure I would have picked the green version otherwise. And in my opinion, it is what MAKES this look so spectacular! I am fair, and I always will be, so I clearly need to be investing in more green for my wardrobe.

The title of this blog post has a bit of a double meaning, being that Son De Flor is a company that strives to maintain ethical values. It was created by two sisters in Lithuania that are fiercely passionate about design and sustainability. You can find out more about every step in their manufacturing process HERE.

I packed this dress on a trip to Washington DC and felt so lovely as I wandered around museums (very much channelling Belle, particularly in the Library of Congress). But I also felt so comfortable wearing it on our adventures, aka the day I fell in love with the electric scooter craze (if you want a free ride to see for yourself, use the code RHJDH7P on Lime!).

The linen from Son De Flor is lightweight and breathable but also not too thin.

I felt very covered and comfortable moving around in it. I have a small frame but a large bust size, and the small fits me perfectly. In fact, I have plenty of room.

Their pieces seem to run large and are meant to feel a bit oversized. Because of the delicate cut, it still feels dainty and feminine.

They are having an amazing sale right now, so I highly recommend checking that out! Let me know if you have any questions in the comments. I’d be happy to help!
