Weekends are for resetting my mind and space, and with all of the time indoors this year, I’ve enjoyed decorating more than usual. The two projects I’ve been working on are my office and my bedroom, and so I thought I’d break it all down here for you!
I started this process back in May and used some pieces both old and new. I spent a lot of time on Pinterest, but more importantly, I spent time feeling out the rooms themselves. We rent, so obviously we’re limited in what we can do, but I wanted to work with the rooms instead of impossibly trying to make them look like a picture I saw online.
First up, my desk!
I had the idea to do a gallery wall above my desk because I originally had these prints over the couch in my office but wanted to put my painting by Haley Klein Art there instead. So, after some dreaming, I realized they’d look perfect here!
The prints are all by The Crafted Prints, a black and female-owned business, and you can save 15% off any of their prints with the code Chloe15!
The frames are Ikea (and very affordable). All of the tech (and my desk) was provided by my work besides the Google Mini.
To wrap up the left side: My planner and journal are both from Target and the post-it notes were a gift several years ago.
Smack dab in the middle is a bamboo monitor stand that I debated getting for weeks, but I am SO glad I did. It’s the perfect height, and I love how it matches my desk!
On the right, you can see my Daily Roller (gifted by George & Willie), my light (gifted by Gantri and that link will save you $20 on your first purchase), and a pot from Anthropologie that I use to propagate!
It has been SO nice to work in such an inspiring space!
Next… our bedroom!
We already had our bed and side tables (with hardware replacements from Anthropologie), so it was really just a matter of styling them with our books, candles, and a gorgeous lamp from Carpenter Studio.
I partnered with three amazing companies for the rest of the space – I worked with Clare Paint to refinish and paint my old dresser this adorable shade (Two Scoops!) and then this absolutely stunning Loloi Rug designed by the amazing Justina Blakeney really pulled the whole room together!! We’ve had our bedding and decorative pillows for years, but we did recently add pillows gifted by Savvy Rest. They also have mattresses and otther home goods, and you can save 20% off their whole store with my code Chloe20.
I love the cozy and minimal feel, with some eclectic touches and pops of color. It had been feeling a little drab lately, and I’m incredibly grateful to finally feel “at home,” especially during this weird year where we’ve been so disconnected from our family and friends. Having our space decorated doesn’t fix that, but it’s certainly a nice distraction!
Okay, that was a lot!! It has been so much fun to plan this out and work with these partners over the last few months. I am so happy it’s finally coming together!!
P.S. I offered a question box on Instagram, but I lost the responses! So if you have any questions, let me know!
