Check out my cutie Nisolos that I’ve been wearing on my walks!
Oh boy. This is not the year I imagined it would be… My NYE post said 2020 would be “my year” (HA) of “magic in the mundane.” It’s been light on the magic and heavy on the mundane!
Jokes aside, I wanted to share some ways that I’ve been finding joy in the monotony of my social isolation. I’d love to hear yours too!
Here’s some of the magic I’ve been sensing lately:
READING: All. Of. The. Romcoms. π
I am currently blowing through Jasmine Guillory’s books. I started with The Wedding Date, then The Wedding Party. Now I’m on The Proposal! And after I finish Royal Holiday, I need more happy things to read. What are your favorites?
LISTENING: Encouraging Podcastsπ
I’ve loved listening to positive people during this time! I really like The Good Life right now. I’ve also been video chatting my family and friends nonstop, staying connected with people more than usual. When all of this is over, I want to be better at keeping in touch!
SMELLING: Essential oils π
My home is being DIFFUSED on the daily. Trying to keep everything clean and calm and as orderly as possible. I usually just stick to lavender, but I’ve been expanding to citrus and other fun oils as well! I’ve wanted to be better at doing this for a while, and it’s nice to have a reason to make my home cozier.
EATING: An excessive amount of popcorn π
I don’t really know what to say here other than I am ADDICTED to popcorn right now. And not even movie theater kind. Like, natural stuff! That’s how you know life is boring!
WALKING: Everywhere π
We are so fortunate to live in a small town! We have been able to walk daily without getting close to anyone. I have been wearing these Nisolos (featured above) or my running shoes, depending on if I’m dressed or in work out clothes. It’s kind of nice to get dressed up and go on a walk, even if no one sees you!
